McKenzie's Kenya Mission Trip

Family and Friends,
Throughout the years, I have been called by the Lord to serve in numerous places. I’ve served under the bridges in our hometown Atlanta, gone up the street to Chattanooga quite a few times, travelled to West Virginia, and even flown out to Puerto Rico to do the work the Lord has called me to do. I have a strong passion for mission work and truly feel a calling to take care of those in need.
My sophomore year in high school, I heard of an amazing trip my church, Roswell United Methodist, was going on. They were headed to Kenya to care for orphans, both children and elephants. I pleaded and begged to go on this trip, but my parents, not entirely comfortable with a 15 year old heading to Africa assured me that if the opportunity were to arise again when I was an adult, they would support me fully.
As I finish up high school and prepare to embark on the next chapter of my life, the opportunity has arisen once again. On June 5th, I will be boarding a plane to head to Kenya with an amazing team to serve.
I’ve prayed a great deal about this journey and have confidence that the Lord is going to use me to do His work. With that confidence, I also must take a leap of faith to reach this goal by asking for means of support both financially and prayerfully.
