Memorial for Rolando

Dear family and friends,

I am writing to you today to let you know about the loss of our father, Rolando. You all probably remember him as the ultimate host, always willing to make others feel comfortable and loved.

We received his cancer diagnosis in October 2017 and were fortunate to be able to care for him for three years, the way he did for so many. These three years gave him the gift of meeting his two youngest grandchildren and spending time with his loved ones. Unfortunately, this time was also filled with cancer treatments, countless trips to the hospital, diagnostic procedures and agonizing pain. 

We are absolutely devastated by his passing but we find peace in the fact that he is no longer suffering. Please consider donating if you are able to do so. We are so very grateful for every donation during this difficult time.

Querida familia y amigos,

Le escribo hoy para informarle sobre la pérdida de nuestro padre, Rolando. Probablemente todos lo recuerden como el mejor anfitrión, siempre dispuesto a hacer que los demás se sientan cómodos y amados.

Recibimos su diagnóstico de cáncer en octubre de 2017 y tuvimos la suerte de poder cuidarlo durante tres años, como lo hizo con tantos. Estos tres años le dieron el regalo de conocer a sus dos nietos más pequeños y pasar tiempo con sus seres queridos. Desafortunadamente, este tiempo también estuvo lleno de tratamientos contra el cáncer, innumerables viajes al hospital, procedimientos de diagnóstico y dolor agonizante.

Estamos absolutamente devastados por su fallecimiento, pero encontramos paz en el hecho de que ya no sufre. Considere hacer una donación si puede hacerlo. Estamos muy agradecidos por cada donación durante este momento difícil.
