On November 1st Thomas was admitted into the hospital due to recurrent fevers, stomach pain, nausea, quick weight loss, and chills. While there on top of his Ulcerative Colitis and inflammation from it they found he had a "narrowing" of his large Intestines and swelling in his appendix. They also found he had Norovirus and Ecoli in his intestines.

Blood work, scans, and days in the hospital would still leave us with a month wait as we waited for the gastro to get him in for a colonoscopy. Meanwhile he tried to go back to work when he was released but ended up having to transfer customers to managers in order to excuse himself to the restroom.

This year has been difficult with a baby in the NICU at the beginning of the year, income loss due to reduced hours at work (going from 45 Hours a Week to barely 20 a week. From June until August he did his best to work  but had continual issues with his stomach, with weakness, with stress, and he found a job from home that would be better on him. While he was supposed to start the job at the end of August, he ended up not starting until late September and didn't receive a full check until October.  While his income has stopped the bills keep coming in.

On December 1st we received news that my husband has a large mass in his large intestines, moderate ulcerative colitis, severe swelling, bleeding, and would definitely need surgery. The news is what we dreaded, the news leaves me heart broken, and terrified. Cancer is not a word that I was prepared for. But now I have to push forward. I have to find a way to provide for my family until he is able to heal enough to work.

On December 23rd he had surgery to remove his Large Intestines. While they were doing the surgery they found that the cancer had pressed up against his Abdominal Wall and caused an abscess. In February we found that the cancer had spread to his liver. They began chemotherapy to attempt to keep the cancer from spreading any further.

In April scans showed that the cancer had grown in his liver and their were liesions in his peritoneum. The cancer was  inoperable and there goal is palliative treatment and to begin a new chemo protocol. A new protocol has come with new side effects and my husband is in alot of pain and discomfort.

In June doctor's did a CT scan and found that the cancer with treatment (4 rounds so far) had doubled in size in his peritoneum. The doctor told my husband that they will do one more round of this Chemotherapy Protocol then do new scans then to see if the Chemo is working. There is a possibility the doctor may decide to do a new Chemo protocol though we won't know much.

My husband has been approved for SSDI and receives $1385 a month (including kids monthly stipend). We then will receive the Childcare Tax Credit through December. This will take care of our Mortgage, Utilities, Car Insurance, Gas, Phones, Internet, Household Items, Diapers, Wipes, etc.  After bills there will possibly be a little left over each month.

However, we NEED help with household repairs.  As the home was build in 1960s the windows are single pained sliding windows and are HORRIBLY drafty. The house gets so hot in the summer and so cold in the winter. Our energy bill costs anywhere between $400 and $600 for just one month. We need to work on making the home more energy efficient we need to repair and insulate the addition so that it doesn't continue to fall in disrepair.  The windows are a safety hazard. The water damage on the back of the home along with mildew is a safety hazard for our kids. Our gutter on the back of the home is falling down, the rough is damage in some spots.

Below are some pictures of damage in the home. Any amount helps. Prayers help. Sharing helps. Because even if you can't help I know God will place this information in front of someone that can.
