Mission Comes First - Reaching Ghana's Poorest

This September I am going on a mission near Tamale in Northern Ghana to volunteer with a project called "King's Village". The King's Village aims at a holistic, sustainable transformation of the more than 250 poorest communities in Ghana by targeting the interconnected areas of healthcare, water and sanitation, farming and, very importantly, education. While I am there I will support the project with admin work, in the schools and wherever I else I can be of help. The funds raised through this campaign will be used to:
- cover some of the travelling costs
- support The King's Medical Centre (only medical facility for 100,000 people in the area)
- support the King's Village schools & students (500 + pupils)
- support the King's Nutrition Centre which currently looks after more than 40 malnourished children under 5 years old
-support the different church planting initiatives

Kommenden September werde Ich eine Missionsreise nach Tamale im Norden Ghanas unternehmen um für ein Projekt namens "The King's Village" zu arbeiten. “The King's Village” zielt auf die ganzheitliche und nachhaltige Entwicklung der mehr als 250 ärmsten Bevölkerungsgruppen in  Ghana ab und investiert somit in die folgenden zusammenhängende Bereiche: das Gesundheitswesen, Wasserversorgung und Abwasserentsorgung, Landwirtschaft und, vor allen Dingen, Bildung. Ich werde in der Verwaltung des Projekts, in den Schulen unterrichten und ansonsten wo immer ich kann mithelfen. Der Spendenerlös wird folgendermaßen genutzt werden:
- um einen Teil der Reisekosten zu decken
- zur Unterstützung des medizinische Zentrums (die einzige medizinische Einrichtung für 100.000 Menschen)
- zur Unterstützung der Schulen und Schüler (insgesamt über 500 Schüler)
- zur Unterstützung des Ernährungszentrums, das im Moment mehr als 40 unterernährte Babies und Kinder unter 5 Jahren betreut
- zur Unterstützung der Gemeindegründungsarbeit

A Settembre andrò in missione vicino a Tamale, nord del Ghana, come volontaria al progetto chiamato "King's Village". Questo progetto mira ad una trasformazione completa delle oltre 250 comunità povere del Ghana, con l’intenzione di creare connessione e sostenibilità tra assistenza sanitaria, acqua e servizi igienico-sanitario, agricoltura e, cosa molto importante, l'istruzione. Quando sarò lì, per tre settimane sosterrò il progetto con il lavoro amministrativo, aiutando nelle scuole e in qualsiasi altra cosa necessaria. I fondi raccolti tramite questa campagna saranno utilizzati per:
- coprire alcuni dei costi del viaggio
- sostenere il King's Medical Center (l’unica struttura medica per le 100.000 persone della zona)
- sostenere le scuole e gli studenti del King's Village (più di 500 alunni)
- sostenere il King's Nutrition Center, che attualmente cura più di 40 bambini malnutriti sotto i 5 anni
- sostenere il lavoro pionieristico nel fondare chiese
