McCay DeWitt Rasmussen

My 19 year old son, McCay was in an accident just before Christmas... this accident has changed his life . He was cut out of the vehicle with the jaws of life by the Phoenix Fire Dept. I want to say how grateful I am for the firemen who helped my son, through this.
My son McCay broke his pelvis in six different places and is learning to walk again. His recovery will take months.
At this time McCay has medical bills of $54000.00 . We are trying to raise everything we can to help my son McCay pay for things .

His best friend and him were in the accident together . They have known each other since they were in 8th grade .
McCay's best friend had picked him up from work that evening and they were driving home in a rain storm. The car hydroplaned and was uncontrollable. No other vehicles were involved.
The car stuck a boulder on the passenger side of the vehicle where MCay was,...trapping him.
I am asking now, the community of friends, family, and people who care, to help my son raise whatever we can for him.
The insurance will not be covering this. Unfortunately the coverages were the minimum. We don't know how this will turn out, but I do know this....
My son is broken, really broken. He doesn't get to go back to work or school for the next few months . He has to be in a wheelchair and uses a walker for assistance just to get to the restroom.

McCay is a strong 19 year old and I am blessed to have him as my son.
