McCarthy Puerto Rican Relief Fund

Donation protected
McCarthy Improvement would like to do this fundraiser to provide support for our McCarthy Improvement employees directly impacted by Hurricanes Irma and Maria the past few weeks. Carlos, Lilly and Eric from our Puerto Rico office have been seriously impacted and also Sylvester's family in the islands has been seriously impacted. Many people have asked how they can help.

100% of the money we raise will be split between the individuals and will go toward helping to rebuild their lives following these devastating storms. Each of the McCarthy employees impacted sustained damage to their homes and property. Puerto Rico's electrical infrastructure was decimated, and the power authority has estimated it will take 4-6 months to restore power everywhere on the island. There is a fuel shortage and clean water is becoming hard to find.

The company has taken steps to help provide relief to our employees by purchasing flashlights, lanterns, medicine, batteries, fans, water filters, and solar power chargers, but we also wanted to open the opportunity up if anyone was interested in providing some additional help. We have received many requests for opportunities to help, so we decided starting this Go Fund Me was a good option for people who would like to help Carlos, Lilly, Eric and Sylvester's family directly.

If you would like to donate, but prefer not to have your name listed, you are able to make an anonymous donation on this site. We would like to present them with the additional money raised  by Monday, October 9th.

Like you, Carlos, Lilly, Eric and Sylvester are wonderful, dedicated McCarthy Improvement employees. We are proud to have them on our team. We appreciate any help you are willing and able to provide them at this very difficult time.

To comply with the GoFundMe Rules, I am Maureen Bush, and I have been working in our Puerto Rico office directly with the individuals impacted. I will be withdrawling the money and giving it to David Culpepper to dispurse directly to the 3 individuals in Puerto Rico on his upcoming trip down, and will give Sylvester's money directly Jim Rezac to be given to him directly. The money will be used by the individuals as they see fit to help repair their homes, buy fuel, food and other goods to rebuild their lives following the hurricane.
