Arroyo Family Tragedy

This GoFundMe was started for a dear, close friend and her family, the Arroyos. The Arroyos have undergone two tragedies in the last week.
In early February, the maternal grandfather of the family suddenly grew ill and bedridden, requiring a family member to fly immediately from California to Mexico to care for him. He soon passed away following their return, and they're grateful to have had the chance to be by his side and say goodbye.
Much of the financial burden falls to the Arroyos. They are constantly sending the little money they have to support grandparents, uncles and aunts who need medical assistance. The funeral costs of the grandfather would be great, but they would never dream of sending off a beloved family member without a proper and decent burial.
However, while preparing funeral arrangements, another tragedy struck. The paternal grandmother of the Arroyo family suddenly passed today, having her life taken from her in a robbery while she was home alone. The shock of this death is almost too much to bear. No one should ever have to be taken in that way. There was no chance even for goodbye.
It would be terrible to add the financial burden of travel and funeral costs while they are enduring these great losses. We are hoping this GoFundMe will help ease that burden, relieving them of some of that stress, and offering friends an avenue through which they can help support the family. The Arroyos would not ask for charity, but in these unique circumstances, we urged them to see this option as a gift from friends who want to help them in any way they can.
