My name is melissa and I am delisa's younger sister. We just found out that she has acute myeloid leukemia and her body is not responding to blood transfusions or platelet transfusions,  so they started a very intense round of chemo today! Delisa is handicapped and has a 9 yr old little girl that needs her mommy. Delisa and I just lost our mother at the age of 52 in December to rectal cancer after a 9 year battle! The Doctor's don't know if she is strong enough to handle the chemo? But we know we have to try.  I raise my 2 children and delisa's daughter. We just currently got switched to a hospital where im only an hr away from home,  but for a week it was a 2 hr commute each way.  My husband works very hard and throughout the last ten months I have been grieving and trying to take care of my mother and sister. She has medicare but they don't pay much. We are never the type of people that ask for help but at this point I don't know what else to do. Her bills exceed over 70 thousand dollars but we don't know yet how much medicare will pay. Please keep us in your prayers and remember every little thing helps! God Bless!
