Houston Strong

My mother works at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston. The house of a postdoc, named Yugang Wang, who works with her was flooded during Hurricane Harvey. The water level inside the house reached 51 inches. The flood also completely submerged and destroyed the family's 2 cars. The postdoc and his wife have 2 very young kids, and they do not have flood insurance. The cost of rebuilding the house will be at least $50,000, not including the ruined furniture and cars.
