Hello Family, Friends and Random Kind-Hearted Strangers!
I never thought I would be a GoFundMe user, but I humbly come to you today needing assistance for my googly, goofy fur-kid, Maynard. He is my 11yr old Weimaraner, my best friend, and in need of surgery due to a growth he's developed.
We've just consulted with our veterinarian, and $600 later, have been informed that he desperately needs surgery to have the growth removed. The procedure is about $1500, with follow up diagnostics expected to add another $500.
Without options to pay for this needed treatment out of pocket, I've turned to GoFundMe as a possible form of fundraising. Due to Maynard's age, pet insurance is pretty unaffordable, and won't guarantee to provide the coverage he needs either.
It can be pretty embarrassing and awkward to ask those close to you for help, but then again so am I and so is Maynard, and there's nothing I wouldn't do to help him get the care he needs.
So there it is. I've put the fundraising goal at $2000, but obviously would never dream of being able to raise the full costs of this procedure. Any little bit that you could spare... $5 and a well wish for Maynard's recovery... Would mean the world right now. If you've ever met Maynard, you already know he's one of the most lovable, good-natured dogs to have ever drooled upon God's green earth, and we would so appreciate any help you can offer.
