TRIP OF A LIFETIME - A DREAM COME TRUE
On Jan. 27-28, 2018, Maya attended the iDance Convention in Montreal, a 2-day event of dance workshops in lyrical, jazz, hip hop and contemporary instructed by professional dancers from around the world. At the end of the weekend, Maya was selected to receive a $750 scholarship to go towards attending dance tours in Paris and Barcelona this summer!
Maya's dream has always been to go to Paris. She's said that when she grows up she wants to move to Paris to dance and design clothing (and live in a castle, of course). This trip is literally a dream come true opportunity for Maya, and a well deserved chance to continue developing her amazing skills. We always do whatever we can to support our kids' dreams, but this time we need your help to make this dream come to life.

ABOUT MAYA THE DANCER
Maya was born to dance. She's been dancing since she was sitting in her highchair. Now at 11 years old, she trains in ballet, tap, jazz, modern, contemporary, hip hop and acro every week, 5 days a week (sometimes more) for 12-18 hours. And she still finds time for homework and Netflix.
Maya is passionate about her craft. She works hard at it and it shows. Last year in her first season in solo competition, she won first place overall in the junior solo category at the Fever dance competition and travelled to Atlantic City last summer to compete in the national championships.

PARIS
July 30 - August 6, 2018
Paris is synonymous with the finest things that culture can offer — in art, fashion, food, literature, and ideas. On this tour, you will be immersed in the very best of the City of Light: Champs-Élysées, Notre-Dame, Seine River Cruise, Marais, while you stay at the Pullman Paris Bercy Hotel with Bercy Village footsteps away. You'll also enjoy guided neighbourhood walks through the city's historic heart, and quieter moments to slow down and savour the city's intimate cafés, colourful markets, and joie de vivre.
Dancers will spend the first four days taking private classes at the prestigious Centre de Danse Du Marais in Ballet, Lyrical, Contemporary, Jazz, and Hip Hop. The last three days are reserved for sightseeing around Paris, the highly anticipated Photo Shoot with Greg Sino, the Palace of Versaille while you relax on a row boat, the famous Moulin Rouge and finish off with an unforgettable dinner in the Eiffel Tower.
