Maya's Bat Mitzvah campaign for Nature Israel
Tax deductible
I have chosen to raise money for Nature Israel, also known as the American Society for the Protection of Nature in Israel (ASPNI) for my bat mitzvah project because I was lucky to visit many beautiful parks in Israel with my family in the summer of 2019. I am also honoring the memory of my grandfather, Hal Brodsky, during my bat mitzvah and ASPNI was his favorite charity.
I thought that the parks in Israel were beautiful. In Israel I also learned about how to conserve and protect our water supply. ASPNI helps protect parks and educate people about the importance of nature and helping to take care of it. I have chosen to try and raise $613 for ASPNI because there are 613 mitzvot (good deeds) in the Torah. I have now raised my goal to $1,500 because everyone has been so generous! If you are able to, it would mean so much to me if you would donate whatever you can to ASPNI.
More information about The American Society for the Protection of Nature in Israel Inc: The American Society for the Protection of Nature in Israel (ASPNI) is a tax-deductible way of supporting the work of the Society for the Protection of Nature in Israel(SPNI). SPNI was founded in 1953 to protect pristine and unique natural areas from heedless development. The system of National Parks and Preserves of Israel were designated, and today SPNI operates a system of field schools throughout the land to provide Israelis with direct contact and appreciation of nature, and thus provide a supportive base for SPNI's environmental initiatives and campaigns, such as: preservation of open space, mass transit, protection of coast lines, clean water and air, protection of endangered species and habitat.
