Maya's Lung Cancer Surgery

Maya came from a pound. I was house sitting and dog sitting it was about 2 years after my last Siberian Husky had passed. They were interviewing a dog warden on television and said her job was never posted. In the background, I heard that Husky howl. I called and called it was a holiday weekend no answer I left messages on phone sent emails. I had my sister watch the broadcast on the later news. She said that’s a husky voice. We breed them together many years prior. That Tuesday the dog pound called they couldn’t believe I knew a husky was there. They wanted to know how I knew. I shared I breed them I knew the voice. I begged them to let me meet her. They have a policy they have to post for two weeks. The warden said I don’t know why I am letting you but come meet her tomorrow. I had lost my restaurant and all my belongings but most importantly my health. I felt so responsible for all the undoing in my life. When I arrived at the pound I was already crying something inside said she is for me. She ran to me and jumped at least 8” in the air as if she knew I was coming. She licked me through the fence. We knew we were a team. I was pretty laid up not much movement but I knew I had to start walking her. We took our steps together everyday increasing our walks. I knew this dog had a gift she has blessed so many people with love, she loves everyone especially if your hurting. She knows. Her name is Maya her nickname is Nana which means she knows. She has worked in health care for many years and had been hugged photographed by thousands she is a giver and a kisser. From infants to the frail. She is in need of surgery for cancer in her lung if you can please help. Just know if she is given this gift she will love more people if only the chance.
