Max's Take Out: Rebuild the Loop

Donation protected
This past weekend, businesses in the loop were burned and destroyed. Our block has been shut down by the city and construction, blocking small-businesses like Max’s Take Out from foot traffic and any business.

Throughout this all, we want to continue to help. Max’s has and will continue to provide free meals to the clean-up crew and construction workers that are helping rebuild.

We are proud of Chicagoans joining together to protest the unjust murder of George Floyd. The strength of our community is visible to all. We stand with the African American community in power and solidarity.

On Max’s and this gofundme: This was started by Max Khan’s daughter, Amani Zara. My father, an immigrant from Kenya, started this business 32 years ago. This is the oldest hot dog stand in the Loop. Let’s keep it in business and support our community and our immigrant small business owners while doing it.

All funds from this page will go to providing free meals to those helping rebuild our community and maintaining operating costs during these difficult times.
