Max's Motorcycle Accident Recovery

My sister should not have a broken heart twice on the same date...

On the evening of Friday July 27th our family was together celebrating the heavenly birthday of my sisters son, Justin, who left this earth in 2014 at the age of 27. Her husband Max was one of the last to leave the cemetery on his motorcycle.

Lora had just pulled into her driveway when she got the call from someone who happened to see it all. While Max was riding his motorcycle he was struck by a truck causing him to go airborne over the pickup landing on the other side in the middle of a busy street. The young driver was at fault and cited as Max was rushed by ambulance to the hospital. He was in Trauma ICU until the day before they discharged him.

Because of the accident Max underwent 3 major surgeries within 4 days. He sustained serious injuries including a broken  pelvis, both knees injured, one knee had the bone protruding through and several facial fractures requiring reconstructive surgery. Max also suffered trauma to his heart. His road is still being paved and he will have to heal some before having more work done to his face and mouth. Walking is another issue.

Although, it is believed that the motorists insurance will cover his medical bills, he is unable to work and make a living for the next few months. Max is in construction and Lora is self employed, so they are without medical insurance at this time. The hospital sent Max home the  day after his 3rd surgery and now my sister is left facing the burden of taking care of him with the help of our family.

Since the loss of her son 3 years ago my sister has gone through so much and has fought to live again, and now this happens. They remain very positive in their Faith in God. It is our goal to raise at least $20,000 to help relieve some of the financial burden and expenses off her shoulders.

My sister is one of the strongest women I know and Max is a strong and determined man.  I know together with their Faith in God this test will be a testimony! I know they will Overcome!

Max and Lora are both very giving people so lets give back to them the seed they have so generously sown. Anything will help! Thank you in advance! GOD BLESS YOU ALL! DRIVE SAFE  and WATCH FOR MOTORCYCLES!
