Medical Supplies for Malawi

Donation protected
Students from the University of New Brunswick will be travelling halfway around the world to Malawi, Africa this summer to participate in a 3-month internship through the Queen Elizabeth II Scholarship program. While in Malawi, the students will spend time at Kauma Medical Clinic, an outpatient centre that provides healthcare to the 28,000 residents of Kauma Village (over 5000 of whom are children). Kauma Village is an informal settlement, without running water or electricity, with limited government funding. UNB students want to support the fantastic health promotion work of this Clinic by bringing medical supplies to provide much-needed medicines for the people of Kauma Village. Your kind donation will help improve the health and wellness of the Kauma Village residents.

UNB will work with Health Partners International to bring Physician Travel Packs to Kauma Village Clinic. Each Pack costs $575 CAD, and provides enough medicine and supplies to treat 600 people. Our goal is to raise enough to bring four Physician Travel Packs to Kauma Village this summer. (That would mean treating 2400 people, and would make a huge difference in the lives of Kauma Village residents and Clinic staff!) Your generous donation can help us make this happen.
