Maverick’s the Tripawd’s TPLO Surgery

Maverick the pirate pup is on to surgery number 3 in his short two years around the sun.
Before coming to his forever home in February 2020, Maverick encountered some unfortunate humans. Having two broken back legs and trauma to the side of his head, his back left leg was amputated, saving and healing the right. His right eye also took the brunt of abuse, leading to blindness and pressure requiring removal. 

Maverick made a FULL RECOVERY, playing and running in the parks with his brother Goose and best friends at the dog park. Surprising everyone he homes in touch with, this little speedy Gonzalez was cruising. 

About 4 weeks ago Maverick suffered an injury to his remaining back leg. Vets initially thought it was a sever sprain, unfortunately healing did not get better. With further care to our amazing vet, Maverick has a torn muscle in his back leg, the equivalent of an ACL tear in humans. 

If you’d like to help Maverick walk again, his TPLO surgery is scheduled for 1/6/21, totaling over $4500. This little sweet pea has been through way too much bad in his short life. Welove him and can’t wait for him to be back up and running circles around everyone again.
