Maverick's Fight

Please take a moment to appreciate life, everything and everyone you have met along the way. Life isn't always fair but it is unbelievably extraordinary. As humans we are faced with impossible obstacles that we concur everyday. We have the ability to do anything, and at times we take this for granted. For those taking the time to read this, take an extra moment each day to truly appreciate life, what it brings and what surrounds you. Life is amazing but it's short.

For those who know me, know that I have build this incredible bond with Maverick. He is not only my pet, but my best friend, a family member, my son if you wish, a big brother, and a companion. We recently grew our family by bringing home a little sister (Saint Bernard) for Maverick. Maverick is a role model for Mia, he shows her how to live life to its fullest, love unconditionally and be a best friend. Only days ago our life came to a hault when our dearest Maverick was diagnosed with Leukaemia. This news has been devastating, heart breaking, maddening, sickening and much more. We've been faced with the impossible and we plan to concur it. With the help of Dr. Lawrence Woodley (Georgina Veterinary Clinic) we have been recommended to OVC, the cancer centre for animals in Guelph. This journey is going to be hard to say the least, long, expensive, heart breaking and much more. Maverick doesn't require much, but love, food, shelter and of course cookies. However, at just 2 years young, Maverick needs your help. A donation to mavericks fight, isn't only money, it's a chance for maverick to continue his journey, it brings awareness to people that Leukaemia is an awful disease and affects both humans and our dear pets.
