The Liberia Project: Growing Liberia's Economy

The Liberia Project as the first model

When stuck in traffic in most developing countries you see vendors walking between cars and by the roadside selling gum, soap or household items.  Recent surveys and interviews indicate that petty traders like this can easily double and triple their income if we make small investments into their efforts so they can buy the products they sell in bulk or wholesale.  Families have also come together in groups to build a refrigerated fish storage room in their fishing village and four families are partnering to start a a garbage collection system for the community.  Those we invest in have pledged to then invest and help one to three other families, thus paying your investment forward. 

These families in Liberia are part of a global project aimed at demonstrating how investing in the efforts people are already taking can grow economies from the ground up.  Imagine how these communities would change if even just half of these vendors doubled their income!  Please join us with a tax deductible donation.  You can learn more about The Liberia Project here .
