February 25th, 2018 was a day that changed my dad's life forever. After celebrating his sister's birthday surrounded with love and family, my father's nephew asked if he could take him and his gf home. Being the type of giving "unkle mook" my dad is, he did not hesitate to act upon this request. For the folks who know him, if you see my dad you'll also see "the holy ghost" our uncle Marlon by his side as well. So to give an illustration of the scene , my dad was the driver, my uncle was the passenger, and my cousin and his gf were in the backseat. However, things did not go as planned... my family ended up in a head-on collision with another vehicle unfortunatley leaving my uncle deseased, my cousin with blood on the brain, his gf with a broken rib, the other car with minor injuries, and my dad in critical condition. My family memebers were all rushed to the hospital and not only did my dad had to get awoken with the knowledge that his favorite guy in the world had passed, but also that he is now under investigation. Seeing him physically and mentally distraught, not only brought tears to our eyes but also made this go-fund me account even more enduring for us to make. We are asking for any donations, both small and large that could help assist my dad's legal fees. It is one thing that he lost his brother, but his grievance is limited due to his own situation. His investigation is still fresh, but we just want to be prepared in case this turns into a more complex dilemna. The goal of $15,000 is merely an estimate we are trying to reach and whatever ends up being raised will greatly be appreciated!
