Adaptations to help matty

Matthew has Trisomy 21 Down syndrome. He has severe developmental delay and gastroesophageal disease causing recurrent chest infection, epilepsy and very low muscle tone needing specialist support including piedro boots and wheelchair, he is now needing to have a bedroom extended and wet room attached and Having a specialist chairlift fitted to help him so need the front door and side window changed to have ease of access to the stairlift. we are needing to change the front door and the window totally round requiring a new front door and window as soon as this is done his stairlift can be fitted to help him as at present the front door is in the way.The council will help with a grant of £30,000 but we have had quotes in and with the stairlift and the bedroom extension and wet room this comes in excess of £50.000 and we are unable to raise this money but our son really needs this as he is now 7 and can be very heavy to lift. He has a specialist hospital bed to help him and a wheelchair having this we will be able to get a wheelchair straight to his room and with the wet room would be so much easier for his personal care. The stairlift is needed as our living room is on first floor and needed for matty to be able to easily get access to it without us carrying him up and down the stairs. Matthew gets poorly quite a lot and is very weak and needing very close care when well he is very good and mobilises short distances with a wide gater and he is a lovely happy cheeky little chappy x
