Matt Ward, St. Hedwig parent and nine-year veteran of the Cypress Police Department, was taken from us in a tragic car accident the morning of Sunday, October 8. Matt was driving his son, Liam, to a Cub Scouts event when another driver lost control of his vehicle, forcing Matt’s truck to crash into the center divider on the 405 freeway near Huntington Beach. Miraculously, Liam survived the crash with minor injures.
Our hearts break for this young family’s loss. Matt, 33, will be remembered as an amazing husband to Allison and a loving father to Liam (5) and Anderson (2).
