Friends In Need - The Mattsons

While Vicky and Sharon Mattson were preparing for Hurricane Irma back in September, they had no idea of a different storm that would soon arrive in their driveway . Imagine mother and daughter enjoying an early morning breakfast before work only to arrive home in their driveway to the massive storm that followed. Believing the car was in park, Sharon and Vicki started to get out. The next moments of their lives were treacherous . . . in a split second, Sharon was knocked down on the driveway and Vicki's foot was pinned under the car. The tragic result: broken arms and legs, damaged ankles and knees . . . more trauma to these ladies' bodies than you can imagine, not to mention the emotional toll it has taken on them.

Here they are, two months later, still struggling on their own to get their lives back together.  Neither  can return to their jobs yet because they are still healing. Vicky is hoping to be able to work from home once her arms are healed . . . being on her feet is another story, as she is just beginning a regimen of physical therapy to get out of her wheelchair and try to bear some weight on them. In addition to Sharon's severely broken arm, she is still suffering from migraines, possibly even more so due to this accident.

We all need a little help from our friends . . . we get by with a little help from our friends . . . let's all try to help our friends, Sharon and Vicki, now.
