For the month of August 2017, I am living and working in Swaziland, in Southern Africa, with an organisation called Possible Dreams International. The money raised through this GoFundMe campaign, I will inject directly in the projects and initiatives that Possible Dreams International has in place, or is starting up, while I am staying in Swaziland.
Possible Dreams International, Inc is a non-profit organisation which partners with rural and remote communities in Swaziland to empower families and individuals living with extreme poverty, malnutrition and endemic disease.
The organisation works in 32 remote and rural areas of Swaziland finding and implementing sustainable solutions to each community's needs, as well as providing emergency relief and aid.
At least 70% of the country lives in extreme poverty and a further 84% of these people live in remote and rural areas. Swaziland has the highest prevalence of HIV/AIDS in the world and at least 10% of the population of Swaziland are orphaned children under the age of 15. Every donation made to Possible Dreams International goes directly towards combatting these statistics.
