Matt's NYLF: Medicine Fund

I am raising money for my tuition to the National Youth Leadership Forum in Medicine. I was nominated by my A.P. Chemistry teacher, Mrs. Côté for this amazing opportunity to expand my knowledge in the medical field and medical education. The National Youth Leadership Forum is a group where selected students experience medical simulation centers that medical students use and actually perform medical procedures such as suturing, taking blood pressures, and performing neurological exams on simulators and patients with guidance from physicians. My plans after high school are to get my undergraduate degree in biological sciences, go to Naval Officer Candidate School, and then go to medical school. As part of this program, we will have an opportunity to watch an actual surgery on video as a surgeon walks us through the procedure and be able to discuss the case with them. I am so excited for this opportunity to spend time learning about the road ahead on my journey to become a physician one day. I thank you for any help you can provide. Matt
