For more than a decade Matthew Power has been reporting on inspiring and informative stories all around the world.
Last year, Matt was on assignment in Uganda, accompanying British explorer, Levison Wood, while he attempted to walk the length of the Nile.
Matt was due to walk with Lev for a week but tragically, only a few days into the trip he fell ill, lost consciousness and died a few hours later. His travel companions believe the cause of death was heatstroke.
He was 39 years old.
A year later, the people of Uganda are hoping to build a memorial for Matt where he passed away - deep in the heart of the Ugandan wilderness. We're raising money for this memorial and funds will go towards the cost of the materials and labour involved.
