In June of this year, we suddenly lost a very dear and beloved son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin, colleague, and friend.
What can we say about such an extraordinary man? To know Matt was to love him. He was incredibly intelligent and bright, with such a unique perspective of the world and such a passionate thirst for knowledge. He was incredibly kind, someone who treated everyone he loved as family, and to him, family came first, community second, and self last. He was incredibly open-minded and non-judgemental, always listening and ready with a well thought-out question. He was also incredibly funny, as those who love him can attest that any time spent in Matt's company would usually end up in fits of laughter.
Losing such a brilliant man so suddenly and so young is hard enough, without having to worry about affording all of the costly expenses that go into paying final respects to a loved one. We have set-up this GoFundMe to help Matt's family with the hefty costs that have accumulated since his untimely death, which includes funds for a gravestone in Williamsville Cemetary in Buffalo, NY, where Matt is interred.
