“To ease another’s heartache is to forget one’s own.”
― Abraham Lincoln
My younger brother, Matthew, died suddenly and unexpectedly in the spring of 2017. Matt was an extrememly sensitive and emotional person, perhaps to a fault. The burdens of our world weighed heavily on his shoulders, and he felt the pain and sorrow of other people and animals in his own heart and soul. Matt's focus in life was to help stop some of this pain and suffering, whether it be through his work as a psychologist or his dedication to the animals he rescued.
My goal is to raise enough money to start an ongoing fund that will support charities in Matthew's memory. 100% of the money generated will go to charities like The Animal Welfare Institute, Earthjustice, Human Rights Watch and The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. All charities will be accredited by the BBB Wise Giving Alliance which requires charities to spend at least 65 percent of their total expenses on their charitable missions in order to be accredited.
Thank you for taking the time to read this. Any amount you can donate will be profoundly appreciated- both by my family as well as the charity recipients. And if you can't afford to donate... please consider sharing our campaign with others!
