Matthew Waldrip

SPC Matthew Walrip is a veteran of the United States Army. He is a fun loving, hard working, family guy that served with Crusher Company 1-187th Infantry of the elite 101st Airborne Division out Ft. Campbell, Kentucky on one of the hardest deployment for not only members of Crusher Company, but the entire unit as a whole. Matthew also struggled with PTSD. On Tuesday, January the 13th, Matthew attempted to commit suicide. Luckily he was found and rushed to a hospital where he was later put on life support and given little to no chance to live. Unfortunately, Matthew passed away last night due to his injuries. Matthew was a strong individual and wanted to deal with his PTSD on his own, because he didn't want to take money away from veterans that he felt needed and deserved it more than he did. Since Matthew had not been to visit the VA and didn't have life insurance, his wife and 3 kids will be responsible for paying for everything on their own. This includes the funeral and military honors. His wife Sharon and 3 kids need our support right now to help them with funeral expenses, medical bills, and other things that will help ease the financial burden and unexpected passing of Matthew. No ammount of money can will be enough because it doesn't bring Matthew back, but every little bit helps. They  are currently in contact with the local VA office and local Chapter of the VFW to get as much help as they can offer for Matthew and his family.
Help us raise as much money as we can to help out not only a veteran, but a man that would make you laugh and cry, give you the shirt off his back, and help anyone in need. It is my goal to help Matthew and his family as much as I can and make this as easy and painless as we can. It is also my goal to show his family how much Matthew meant to his brothers in Crusher Company. Let's come together and give this Hero everything that he deserves and more.
Matthews mother-in-law Tammy Mckinzine and father-in-law Jimmy Mckinzine would like to thank everyone for all of the love and support that everyone has shown Sharon and their family during their time of need. Please continue to pray for them.
