Our family would like to thank all of you Facebook people, you're amazing! The out pour of love and concern that we received during the last couple weeks was incredible! You were the glue for our family during this emotional trying time.
Also, we need to acknowledge the Local 80 Sheet Metal Union. Matthew belonged to the Local 80 for the last several years. Matthew loved his job! Our family thanks you for all the support and positive words. It gave us great comfort. This job we believe kept him on the right track.
However, his struggle with the demons of this horrific drug addiction led to a late last night call from the Wayne County Medical Examiner. A dreadful call that no family ever wants to get! Matthew no longer has to battle with these demons.
He is now upstairs with God, his Uncle Dennis and others that Matthew loved. He is in peace.
Please continue to pray Matthew and all others with this cruel debilitating addiction.
Matthew was an adventurous, resourceful, and talented person. He put everyone's needs before his own. Matthew loved his kids, Keegan (2yrs old) and Ava (6 yrs old) more than anything in the world. He could be found working on a project or playing games with his nieces and nephews. Matthew knew how to put a smile on everyone's face! Matthew's smile will be missed. Matthew had a heart of gold.
The loss of Matthew, not only left our family with such unbelievable sadness and emptiness... It has put us in a wonder of how we will pay for his due respected funeral cost.
In saying this, we are asking anyone who is able to donate to make this possible.
