Keep Matthew's Skating Dreams Alive

figure skater from Prescott, Ontario has big aspirations when it comes to figure skating. He has developed a true passion for the sport of figure skating and wants to make it to the senior level and perhaps one day represent Canada internationally.

Figure skating is his life and he is dedicated, determined, talented, displays a solid work ethic, gives back to his clubs,  and always supports his fellow competitors.  We live in the town of Prescott, Ontario, where Matthew trains. He also trains in Ottawa, where his main coach is.  Ottawa is an hour away and that is where most of his training takes place, especially in the off-season.

Matthew who currently skates at the Junior level,  is the 2016 Canadian Tire National Novice Silver Medalist, 2 time National competitor, 3 time Skate Canada Challenge competitor, as well as 5 time Eastern Ontario Champion and 3 time Provincial Champion.

Matthew received the Skate Canada Eastern Ontario CompetitiveSkate Athlete award in Kingston, Ontario on May 1, 2016. This award is presented to an individual who exhibits spirit, dedication, determination, has earned a top 10 finish at the sectional level and is a positive role model for other athletes.

With the high cost of travelling, registration fees, competition expenses, and coaching fees, it is becoming more difficult to fund his skating. We are looking for financial assistance and would appreciate any help for Matthew to help keep his dream alive.
