Hi, I'm Angela Matthew's mom. Matthew is 14 years old , fighring a very extremely rare cancer. He is a handsome, energetic, loving, gifted young man that I have ever known. Here's what happen on September 20th 2021 Matthew said he had chest pain, so I took him to see his doctor. They did chest xray and that is when doctor referred us to see Oncologist. After many Scans and testing. That is when Matthew was diagnosed with cancer on September 30th 2021 ; since that day it's been roller coaster ever since. He has had 4 sugreys once to remove some of the tumor. That tumor was tested with Mayo clinic, Saint Jude, Foundation of medicine. That is when doctor decide to do chemotherapy. Matthew has had 3 chemotherapy sessions that has made the cancer worse. We have done 4 radiation tteatments that has helped with Matthew being able to walk and move. From Matthew's neck to waist he has total 39 tumors. Has some tumors in his knees has well. He went from 120 lbs on 9/30/2021 to 75 lbs today. December 11th 2021 his doctor said there was nothing more he can do to cure cancer. Gave my son 5 weeks to 2 months to live. Everyday has been a battle from working, taking care of Matthew, attending 2 other kids needs. Medical bills are stressful and it's getting harder by the day. These monies will be used for medical bills incurred, travel to and from treatments and any daily financial needs that may arise during this unexpected illness. We hope that by easing some financial worry I can focus some of my energy on treatment and healing, spending some time with my son.
