Mattea's Bat Mitzvah Project

January 2017 my father needed a kidney. Our friends would ask around see if they knew anyone who could donate. But then we found an organization called Renewal. Renewal is an amazing organization in Brooklyn New York that helps people find kidneys donors. My father was very ill and in three days he found a kidney donor. We are so grateful that he got this surgery, in such a short amount of time. Unfortunately my father he did not make it because of post surgery complications. In honor of my Bat mitzvah I am raising money for this organization in my fathers name. My goal is to raise as much money as possible for Renewal so they can use that money to expand their organization, and to find more donors. I chose this organization so people like my father can live a better life. When I am older I plan to donate a kidney, but until then I will just raise money for this beautiful organization. This project is in memory of my beloved father, Charles Jordan Levy קלמן יעקוב בן אהרון יחזקל who I miss every single day.
