Greetings from Brooke Mattapan’s 8th grade homerooms!
The students in the college class of 2026 begin their eighth grade year one week from today!
A short three weeks into the school year, we will travel to the Berkshire Outdoor Center to continue the development of our students' teamwork, personal accountability, and communication skills over a two-day adventure, and also, to have a ton of fun.
This year’s 8th grade class has almost twice as many students as last year, and to realize this unique overnight experience, we need your help!
-$3,420: program fee for 49 students and 6 adults
-$1,131: transportation via yellow school buses to and from
-$855: non-refundable deposit
-$300: custom made wooden signs to hang in the classroom, featuring class mottos
-$200: bedding & towels
-$100: road food
Brooke Mattapan's financial administrator will be handling the funds from this campaign.
We have the next 5 weeks to raise our goal of $6,000! This is a powerful opportunity for our kids to get into the woods, get out of their comfort zone, and get further in touch with who they are. Any contribution you are able to make will get us that much closer to setting the tone for a year that will prepare our kids for high school, college, and to live the life they imagine afterwards.
