<div>Matt &amp; Loretta had a house fire on 5/9/25. Although the fire itself was contained to one area of the house, there is significant damage throughout their entire home. They believe it is most likely a total loss. Even though they've had some incredible help with cleaning and washing personal items, much of that is a loss as well. Matt &amp; Loretta are from Sumner, IA.

<div>A group from Sumner met to discuss what to do next. The house has been deemed a total loss. They're going to empty the house out and finish burning it down. The plan is then to either build a single level home over the existing basement, or place a modular home over the basement. They still have a lot of work ahead of them. They're also going to need to figure out their housing for the next unforeseen time. We are continually humbled by your generosity in helping Matt &amp; Loretta get back on their feet. Thank you
