"As of today, I got an official email that said I was in remission from cancer. I didn’t talk about it much and I kept a lot of people, including all of my family, in the dark. I’m sorry. It was extremely hard and very dark for me. I’m sorry I didn’t talk about it. I love all of you. You’re important to me. I needed to make a very solitary personal journey. I’m ready to unfold and talk, but it’s gonna take a little time. Please be patient and understanding. I couldn’t eat. I lost a lot of weight. I couldn’t sleep sometimes and other days I slept sixteen hours.I retreated and isolated. Depression and anti socialism consumed me. I’m drowning in medical debt and it’s gonna take me a lifetime to recover. However, for the first time in a long time I’m happy and I have a reason to feel alive. It feels good to say, “I’m well” and have it not be a lie. I love you and thank you for everything. Your life, your presence, and support is really something to be thankful for this thanksgiving."
