Matt Allen Fund Raising Benefit

Matt Allen, guitarist/vocalist/songwriter and leader of the Toronto based roots rock n roll band, The Swingin Blackjacks was diagnosed in January 2019 with Squamous Cell Carcinoma (cancer on the tongue and lymph nodes). Throughout May and into mid June he underwent intense Chemoradiation Therapy fives days a week on a weekly schedule.
In order to concentrate fully on his health, healing and well being Matt cancelled all Swingin Blackjacks gigs from mid April until early August. He took a leave of absence from his part time job at the Huntsville Library and was unable to return to his usual summer position at Muskoka Heritage Place .
A serious blow has been dealt to Matt and his family’s financial resources. Always one to help out with community benefits and fund raisers in the past it’s now time for the favor to be returned with your generous donations to the Help Matt Allen fund.
