PPE for healthcare workers

Donation protected
The College of West Anglia’s Technology department are dedicating their time, equipment and skills to produce vital Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for the healthcare sector.

Since they began to look at the prototype at the start of April, they have gone from design stage, testing to optimise strength, stability, usability and comfort to producing over 1,400 items of PPE, from face shields to surgical mask clips and door openers for care homes, NHS hospitals, doctors’ surgeries, nurseries and other organisations who employ key workers in frontline healthcare positions.

They need your help, now more than ever, to purchase materials to increase the production of vital PPE. We are asking anyone willing during this extremely tough period to consider donating what they can, to ensure that we all can pull through this crisis together.

Alternatively, if you are able to donate materials or know someone who may be able to help, please contact [email redacted].uk. The team are specifically looking for:

- Polypropylene sheets which are no smaller than 450mm x 800mm, in any colour available and 0.5mm thick
- Acetate A4 sheets, the same as are used on overhead projector screens.

We thank for your support at this time.
