Matching for Black Initiatives and Communities
Donation protected
Hello friends, family, and overall supporters of human rights!
My company provides donation matching whenever I donate to eligible non-profit organizations, schools, or funds and this year, I have over $6,000 eligible for matching and in conjunction with my colleagues, we have over $25,000 available for donation match! Don't let this donation cap fool you as fortunately, we may conjoin forces with additional colleagues to increase our maximum donation matches!
If you have any preferred organizations that come to mind and a select region in mind (i.e Black Lives Matter Foundation in Atlanta vs. California), please specify within your donation comments and those specific requests will be honored. If you are unsure, we have done the work for you! There are many funds out there accepting donations but our donation matching benefit will only apply to registered EIN non-profit organizations, schools, or funds that are accepting donations. There are many funds who are also turning away donations to encourage other organizations to receive them! You may check the list here https://vmware.brightfunds.org/explore/
Thanks to you all, we'll be able to send donations to the following non-profits that help black communities and its initiatives. My co-workers and I researched all of these organizations based on various variables such as: their activity level, community impact, management competency to properly use these funds, and even shifting through their publicly-available financials to make sure they even require additional funding. To our surprise, there were some organizations that had plenty of available cash reserves. Additionally, we tried to choose ones that weren't benefiting as much of a social media boost than their peers.
The following list is our general pool of organizations and we will later decide how much of the non-specific donations will be allocated accordingly.

+ Black Emotional & Mental Health Collective
LGBTQ+
+Casa Ruby

This GoFundMe has been set up to primarily serve as a public-facing page and for supporters who would like to go through a medium rather than Venmo, Cashapp, and Zelle. If you are interested in avoiding the 3% GoFundMe fee, please contact one of our teammates or message us directly. We encourage everyone to share with their peers and again, there is no real limit to the donation match!
THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO HAS CONTRIBUTED THEIR TIME AND EFFORTS TOWARDS OUR FUTURE.
