<div>Bei einer Mastektomie handelt es sich um eine chirurgische Brustentfernung oder auch um eine Brustangleichung. Viele trans* und nicht binäre Menschen entscheiden sich im Rahmen ihrer Transition für diesen Schritt. Der Entscheidung zur Operation geht häufig ein großer Leidensdruck (Dysphorie) voraus. Die Operation ist in diesem Zusammenhang eine Notwendigkeit, um zu überleben.

<div>Ich bin N, und ich stehe kurz vor einem der wichtigsten Schritte meines bisherigen Weges: meiner Mastektomie (chirurgische Brustentfernung).

<div>Ich habe lange überlegt, ob ich hier um Hilfe bitten soll. Ich wünsche mir ein Leben, in dem ich mich endlich frei und authentisch fühlen darf – ohne körperliche Last, ohne ständiges Verstecken. Die Mastektomie ist mein Weg dorthin. Ich habe bisher einige Herausforderungen gemeistert, doch jetzt stehe ich vor einer Hürde, die ich alleine nicht bewältigen kann: die Finanzierung der Operation.

<div><strong>Warum ich dafür eure Hilfe brauche: </strong>

<div>Die Mastektomie ist medizinisch notwendig, doch leider übernimmt meine Krankenkasse die Kosten nicht.

<div>Seit einem Gerichtsurteil von 2024 sind Krankenkassen nicht mehr verpflichtet, die Kosten für nicht binäre Personen zu übernehmen.
</div>

<div>Darum bin ich nun hier und bitte dich/euch um Unterstützung bei den Kosten, die ich alleine nicht stemmen kann. Insgesamt belaufen sich diese auf etwa 8.500€ und beinhalten:

<div>–	Fahrtkosten und Unterbringung für mich und eine Begleitperson direkt nach der OP
</div>

</div>
<div>–	die spezielle Kompressionsweste für die Heilungsphase

<div>Falls nach der OP Geld übrig bleibt, werde ich es einer queeren Organisation in meiner Nähe spenden.
