Massive Stroke and a Single Mom

Often, no one thinks a catastrophe will happen to them. However, on December 2, 2017 my sister had a massive stroke. She is a widowed single mother, with 3 fantastic children. Her kids are intensely scared, and their lives are now filled with fear and the unknown, and they need urgent assistance.

As her intensive rehab begins in the hospital, we've been forced to close my sister's business, the life-blood of her family. Family and friends felt such pride seeing her run it, even after her husband died almost exactly 3 years ago. She was brave, mourned with her kids, but planned a safe life for them all.

Closing her business brings massive stress to her kids. Aside from their mom's rehabilitation, their other goal is to not only have basic needs, but to stay in school. We cannot take them out-of-state. It is vital they finish in Texas. The word 'normal' has been erased from their lives. They are great kids. Very bright. My sister has instilled in them a love for learning that some kids lack, and college acceptance has always been a phrase in their lives that  may not come true now. With funds you give, their homage to their mother will live on. 

Money has now left the college piggy bank and is now being used for the kids to plan a life without mom as their provider. Children shouldn't have to live through  loss at such a young age. Monetarily, we can't help as a family. Our funds are gone. With your help, we can give these beautiful kids what they need right now-the strength to nurture mom without stress of not surviving themselves.
