Mason's Track Chair (aka Freedom)

Donation protected
Imagine for a moment that at the age of 14 you lost your Grandmother who had been a daily part of your life.

Then imagine that a year later your mother passed away from cancer.

Then imagine that you were born with Cerebral Palsy and these two women had been your constant companions nearly every hour of your entire life because feeding yourself is difficult.

You simply can’t.

Mason can, he lived it, and with quick witted charm and an almost unnatural ability to be positive and ambitious still does every day.

Before his Mother past away she prayed Mason would graduate high school. With all odds stacked against him he graduated last year. Mason started college at Western Wyoming Community College this fall and runs his own web design business.

Masons great love is getting into the outdoors with his father Gene who frequently takes Mason in his Polaris RZR.

Mason loves his RZR and feels free while riding along.
He loves to hunt and fish, he even has his own business to help pay for his Ford truck that his Dad drives for him.
Gene says, “He wants his son to live as normal as possible”.

With the help of AOT Trailers Gene will soon be able to pull Masons wheel chair behind the RZR.

But his chair isn’t going to take Mason very far in the outdoors.

This is where you come into this story.

A standard wheel chair makes it almost impossible for Mason to have any mobility in the outdoors. There are no ramps and no ‘wheel chair accessible’ mountains. We can’t even imagine how Mason could navigate his college campus in the dead of winter in Rock Springs WY in a standard wheel chair.

What Mason really needs to live a normal life is the ability to move about freely, just like you and I do daily.
To be able to cross a stream and traverse a trail without his father carrying him.

If Gene and Mason could load a Track chair in the AOT trailer then Mason could go nearly anywhere Mason would like to go.

Constant sitting is huge problem for Mason.
This chair also helps Mason stand which is extremely important to keep his muscles from tightening and losing flexibility.

So his friends (we hope that includes you) have gotten together and we want to buy Mason a Track Chair.
A Track Chair is like a wheel chair, but it has Rubber Tracks that will allow it to take Mason nearly anywhere he wants to go without assistance.
This winter it will help make sure Mason can get to class even when the campus can’t keep the walks clear for him.

Sadly no insurance or medicare will help pay for this kind of chair and Mason's dad simply cannot swing this kind of expense alone.

The chair, equipped as Mason needs it, will cost $19,689 plus shipping.

You can see the chair at http://www.actiontrackchair.com/

Any money collected over the cost of the chair will go to Mason’s College fund. If you haven’t noticed that is extremely expensive too.

We hope you find it in your hearts to donate soon as his Birthday is September 13th!
Please help us make his Birthday spectacular.

PS: He tore my heart out when asked if he could call me Grandma.
