Me and my family are raising money to support two charities which are Alder Hey Children's Hospital and Clic Sargent (Young lives vs Cancer).
In February 2018 our son Mason was diagnosed with stage 3B Hodgkin's Lymphoma. As a family we asked to be referred to Alder Hey for a second opinion hence this being one of our chosen charities we want to raise money for. This diagnosis was discovered through Alder Hey after our persistence for Mason to be under their care.
Within a very short period of time Alder Hey had carried out all the tests to determine the diagnosis and created a suitable treatment plan for Mason within a week.
Clic Sargent work alongside Alder Hey Children's Hospital to offer families support and advice when dealing with children and young lives affected by cancer. They have provided me and my family with great support along with Alder Hey and we want to give something back as we are eternally grateful.
On 16th June 2018, Masons dad Mark is teaming up with a number of his friends to take on the 3 peaks National Challenge. By climbing 3 of the biggest mountains in Scotland, England and Wales these are Snowden, Scafell Pike and Ben Nevis a total of 3408 metres in 24 hours.
Our Go Fund Me page has been set up not only to raise funds for our chosen charities but to also raise awareness and encourage other families to follow their instinct and always seek a second opinion.
We really appreciate any donation big or small to help us reach our target.
