Masks for Nova Scotia community

Donation protected
Given the COVID-19 crisis, my friend, Julie Anne Dayrit and I have been finding ways to help our community. We are currently collaborating with Halifax Distilling Co. on the production of hand sanitizers and donate them to the vulnerable members of the communities around Halifax.

Julie and I are now planning to start the production of masks and donate to the community to alleviate the shortage in face masks we are now experiencing.
We will make free face masks with filters for frontliners healthcare, long term care facilities and non-profit organisations who are helping in this crisis.

We would also make regular cloth masks with filter pockets available for the general public to keep it running.

We have already bought some materials, but given that we are students and have limited funds, we would need further financial support so that we can get started ASAP. Your funds will bring more strength to our community to stand against this crisis.

We know that we will need to protect ourselves once the lockdown and other precautionary measures start to ease up. Face masks will be needed when physical distancing is not possible in public settings, such as when grocery shopping or using public transit.
