Hello,
Today I am sharing the story of Mary Joy Ramos.
Mary Joy is a loving and caring single mother of a beautiful five-year-old son. She has worked hard all her life to support herself and give her son Odin a loving and secure future. Recently Mary was diagnosed with advanced MDS Cancer. Needless to say this was shocking life changing news and is rare to have in a patient only 35 years old.
Mary has now had 5-6 blood transfusions and has started to undergo several rounds of supervised inpatient chemotherapy while being prepared for a Bone Marrow Transplant. Her physicians tell her she will be unable to work for six months to a year due to the intensive and aggressive treatment that is needed to save her life.
Due to her inability to work during this time (as her immune system will be severely compromised) she desperately needs money to pay for her living expenses, insurance, medications and medical lodging required during treatment. Her physicians are recommending she stay at the SCCA House or the Pete Gross house while undergoing Bone Marrow Transplant.
We are asking for your compassion and charity to help this sweet, strong woman raise the funds that are needed for her overwhelming financial burden while she is fighting for her life.
How your donations and funds will be used:
· Medical bills.
· Medications.
· Long term medical housing.
· Food.
· Insurance.
· Care for her son.
Thank you all so much for taking the time to read Mary’s story and for your support and generosity. We will update you of Mary’s progress along the way.
Best,
Yvette
