Mary’s cancer journeys

This is my sister, Mary, enjoying a day with her family. You see, we lost our mom at 40 years old after years of battling cancer. As you can imagine, my sisters and I were always afraid that it could happen to us..... Mary was only 13 when mom passed. From then on, her life wasn’t easy and filled with pain and sadness. Finally, in October, 2016, she married the love of her life, Nick. On April 5, 2019, they welcomed their beautiful son Jack. Happily ever after, right? We were so glad her life had taken a wonderful change full of love and joy, and with a child she’s wanted since she was young. Then it happened...when Jack was 3 months old, Mary was diagnosed with stage 3 rectal cancer. She did chemo and radiation treatments, but that wasn’t enough. She also had very invasive surgery, leaving her with a colostomy bag. They took out half of her bowel, her anus, and part of her vagina. They said it would take 6 months to heal. During that process Mary had numerous complications and more pain than one can even imagine. She was declared cancer free in March of this year. I heard it from the doc himself. 4 months into her recovery, this July she was diagnosed again with vaginal cancer. It’s very aggressive, but due to complications, her chemo was postponed for weeks. Finally, this week she started her treatments. Soon she will be home doing outpatient chemo, and will have palliative hospice care. If the chemo doesn’t help, more organs will be taken from her. Jack is only 1 now. Mary is only 35. Can you imagine going through all of these things and have a baby in the house? Of course, their only source of income is coming from her devoted husband. We are asking for donation, prayers, and shares. This money goes to medical bills and care for the baby. She’s fighting like hell, and we need all the help we can get. She’s a sweet, lovable woman who everyone loves. I wish for her to beat this and enjoy her life with her family! Keep fighting Mary! We all love you! Thank you all for your kindness.
