MaryAshley transplant

Hi. My name is Malinda and I am raising funds for my 19 year old special friend MaryAshley Barbot. After nearly 11 years of waiting on dialysis and numerous treatments to help her be a match she has finally gotten her life saving gift. Her case has been so complicated that she has had to travel from Charleston SC to Los Angeles to be cared for and transplanted at Cedars Sinai as they are the only Medical Center in the US doing these specialized treatments. She will have to remain in Los Angeles for at least 3 months. She is in ICU currently and will be in the hospital for at least a week. Her mom will be out of work to care for her and they will need to have temporary housing in LA. She is such a strong, brave young girl who brightens everyone’s life that she encounters. Money will be used for travel, lodging, and miscellaneous expenses incurred during this time. The family is so grateful for all of the love and support during this challenging but miraculous time.
