Mary “Sam” Feack – Grandma, Mother and our dear friend needs your help!
She landed herself in the Intensive Care Unit back in March, and has since learned she has a cancerous tumor affecting her kidneys, bladder, intestines and liver. She’s had multiple strokes and she’s been in and out of the hospital ever since with numerous blood transfusions, continual dialysis and other complications. She’s in a great deal of pain and discomfort. She would never tell you any of this but the time has passed for social graces.
We know Sam as a tough cookie with a heart of gold, who loves children and babies and always had to say hello and offer friendly words to any who entered our store, Channelview Supply, where she's worked her butt off for over 30 years! She loves our children like her own and dotes on them every chance she gets. It breaks my heart to think my youngest at 2 ½ years old might not remember her.
She’s a true artist and practices ceramics, painting and knitting as often as time allows in-between the two jobs she’s kept for most of her life. She has a true green thumb and her home is surrounded by plants and animals alike. She’s in jeopardy of losing her home and all she has – not to mention her own life. We don’t know her exact prognosis or outlook at this time but we know she’s looking at possible surgeries, chemotherapy and radiation to treat the cancer if she’s strong enough to proceed. She needs our prayers and support to give her strength for this hard road ahead of her.
She and her family need our help so that she doesn’t lose her home while on this difficult journey. Please donate anything if can spare it at all, every single penny helps tremendously.
We also need help from anyone with experience fundraising. We have a large retail store and could host an event - blood drive, a dinner, auction, bake sale, etc. Please contact Becca Clayton Moore or Adrianne Stevens with any information you think may be helpful.
