Monday, March 26, 2018 at approximately 8:30 pm our parents, Jack and Mary Rose Sherry experienced a devastating fire. Thank God, they were both out of the house! The first responders were able to save their pets.
However, the house is a complete loss! Every single item they owned is gone! The devastation they are experiencing is beyond words. We can not believe what has happened.
The fire blazed through the house, starting in the basement and worked straight up through the roof. No floor was safe. Everything is damaged beyond repair.
They will be staying with my sister, her husband and kids for the time being.
Thankfully they do have home owners insurances, but the process that comes with an event like this is slow. If you are able to contribute any amount of money to their cause, or if you would like to send something their way (even if just a prayer) they would appreciate it. A set goal is required by the site, but we appreciate anything. We are hoping to help raise some money to offset the costs of things that will come up immediately, like new clothes, shoes, daily items, etc.
I am sure this fire will be in the local papers, and likely on the news tomorrow, several different towns needed to respond to try and control the fire, as at some points it was unmanageable. Please feel free to contact me or my sister with questions. Thank you
