Mary Katherine's Medical Expenses

Donation protected
As many of you know my brother Daniel and his wife Mary Katherine have had ups and downs the past few years regarding Mary Katherine's medical condition. She is getting ready to have her third brain operation on January 17 for her Chiari condition. As her sister in law, I wish the Lord would remove this “thorn in her flesh”. The first surgery in 2016 was scheduled but the second one was an emergency because she was sick and had a very bad infection that was life threatening if another operation was not done quickly. Her recovery from the past surgeries were longer than expected because of the infection and having two major operations back to back. She was hospitalized for several weeks, had a few ambulance rides, intense therapy, in home nurse care, and of course costly medical bills. During this time both Daniel and Mary Katherine were out of work, but Daniel was able to be in and out of work once Mary Katherine was well enough to be cared for by friends and family. They both held up strong with the help and support of many friends and family and Mary Katherine amazed the doctors for how well she would push through some hard days. Daniel has been by her side the whole time. Unfortunately, in the last several months, she’s taken some steps back in her recovery. Doctors have been doing their best to find out what is going on. After several doctor visits, emergency visits, constant pain, and decrease in quality of life for Mary Katherine, we knew something wasn't right. It was then determined to see a specialist at MUSC in Charleston, SC. After many prayers and appointments, it has been determined the only option right now is to have this operation, which will be performed on the morning of January 17th in Charleston, SC. This time I am asking to spread the word and let's try to help them out in any way we can. Most importantly pray during this time and the months ahead. Taking some of the financial stress off their hands will mean more than you know. They still have medical bills coming in from the past two surgeries and now this one coming up, in which travel expenses are involved. Daniel and our Mom (Glenda) will be in Charleston with her for at least 2 weeks after the surgery. If you feel led to give any amount, I know they will greatly appreciate it, but most importantly join me in praying from them both, as well as our family as we battle yet another journey for my brother and sister-in-law.
